This is the 10 Espada, they are Hollows that took of their masks to get Shinigami powers. They are meny but this is the 10 most powerful.
Mostly they are just Aizen's Lapdogs for me :-/
Espada or Arankarus they are calld, showed up first in manga chapter 190.
and then in chapter 244 they showed this picer with all the Arankarus.

Nice manga scan, it looks pretty good.
Just a thought, but isn't the idea of the 10 or 11 Espada very similar to the evil group in Naruto, the akatsuki.
Seems there might be a cross over of ideas here.

well actually theres 11 espada... lol 1 who "replaced"(he got kicked lol.) grimjaw and after a period of time when orihime was "captured" to the hollows world and where she healed grimjaw's arm and immediately once he got healed he killed the espada who replaced him and return as the 6th espada
